27th May 2009: janusNET have signed a distribution deal with Softek, who will act as distributor for the janusSEAL suite of security classification and labelling products in the UK and Ireland to their extensive network of resellers.
janusSEAL, created by Australian company, janusNET, enables organisations to enforce classification of each and every document and email, which in turn allows a company to control what information is shared either internally or externally. The janusNET products can be quickly deployed and managed via Group Policy, and integrate seamlessly with Outlook, Outlook Web Access, Windows mobiles, Pocket Outlook, iPhone and Blackberry, as well as being able to classify and apply protective, tamper-proof markings to Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents.
Mike Bienvenu, Technical Director at Softek, commented on the applications, ‘Security not only relies on considered group policies, but just as importantly employees understanding and adopting these sometimes complex security tasks into their every day work. janusNET has bridged this gap, by providing a prescriptive labelling tool that simply needs a tick box to be chosen by employees to deem the content sensitivity, such as ‘top secret’, ‘private’, ‘personal’, or any other custom classification.
