DUALShield for Virtual Desktops

DUALShield for Virtual Desktops

Concerns about the ability to ensure security in a virtual environment often prevent organizations from expanding their use of virtual technologies as rapidly as they might like.

By deploying secure, strong authentication, organizations can unlock the value of their investment in virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), leveraging the full capabilities of operating a virtual environment and effectively managing emerging security threats and compliance mandates.

DualShield unified authentication platform delivers multi-factor authentication solutions to all popular virtual desktop interfaces including;

  • VMware View

VMware View gives you the ability to deliver desktops from the datacentre as a managed service. Built on VMware vSphere for Desktops, it's a platform designed specifically for desktop virtualization.

DualShield adds multi-factor authentication to the VMWare View logon process by an authentication service that is designed specifically for VMWare View.

  • Citrix XenDesktop

Citrix XenDesktop lets you create virtualised Windows desktops quickly and easily, then make them available to users on demand through any device.

DualShield adds multi-factor authentication to the XenDesktop logon process via the Citrix Web Interface that runs on the Microsoft IIS web server.

  • Microsoft Remote Desktop (Terminal Services)

Microsoft Remote Desktop Services, formerly known as Terminal Services, is a Microsoft Windows component that allows a user to access applications and data on a remote computer over a network, using the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP).

DualShield for Terminal Service adds multi-factor authentication to the Terminal Services login process, requiring a user to authenticate with a second factor credential such as one-time password before access to the terminal server is allowed.

  • 2X Virtual Desktop

2X provides a family of enterprise server based computing software that allows desktop virtualization and application streaming on standard PCs and thin client devices.

DualShield authentication is natively integrated into the core of 2X software by 2X developers, providing strong two-factor authentication to all 2X products.
