Why is SafeStick evolving?
Everything evolves over time. With security requirements and the threat landscape changing, Blockmaster needed to build on the existing software platform to enable the delivery of more, exciting features in the future. New software delivered on SafeXs is that vision.
How does this affect me as an existing SafeStick customer?
For existing SafeStick and SafeConsole customers there is NO IMPACT. SafeStick drives will always continue to be fully secure and fully manageable via SafeConsole.
Additionally all current SafeStick customers and drives will continue to be fully supported, existing warranty remains intact, and we will assist customers with upgrade paths for obtaining both SafeXs hardware and new SafeStick firmware versions.

No new SafeSticks will be manufactured after 31st December 2011, and no new features will be added to the software.
How does this affect me as an existing SafeStick Reseller?
For existing SafeStick and SafeConsole resellers who purchase SafeStick from Softek there is NO IMPACT. All existing SafeStick drives will continue to be fully supported, managed, and software updates will be provided.
As a Reseller you will now carry the SafeXs drive instead of SafeStick.
For any resellers who may have obtained SafeStick stock from a source other than Softek please contact us for advice.

SafeXs is powered by the proven BlockMaster software and technology, and fully matches all the current features, specifications, size, system support, accreditations and SafeConsole management for current SafeStick customers.
As the technological evolution of SafeStick, which was the original BlockMaster product, SafeXs also immediately brings several new important features and benefits to customers – including write-only protection and Mac OSX Lion support.
SafeXs enables BlockMaster to add exciting new features which are coming soon.
SafeXs drives will be fully managed via SafeConsole - alongside any existing SafeStick and other SafeConsoleReady Devices customers may own - all devices will be managed in the same console, with the same features and policies.
